WWE Star Returns After Five Months Away

WWE Star Returns After Five Months Away WWE

On tonight’s episode of WWE NXT, Wes Lee made a return after being out of action for five months due to injury.

Wes Lee was injured ahead of a big planned match against Dominik Mysterio for the NXT North American Championship at NXT Deadline.

Just days prior, on the December 5 episode of WWE NXT, Lee came to the ring to announce that he was injured and the injury would require surgery.

He would also reveal that this meant he was out of action indefinitely, though promised it was “not a goodbye”, with Vic Joseph on commentary suggesting he may be out for eight to twelve months.

However Wes Lee made a surprise return on tonight’s episode of WWE NXT (April 30) to step up to the current NXT North American Champion.

Oba Femi put the NXT North American Championship on the line tonight against Ivar of the Viking Raiders.

In the end, Femi was able to retain his title but his celebration would prove to be short lived as Wes Lee made his return.

Seemingly stepping up to the big champion Oba Femi, Wes Lee has returned to WWE NXT and entered the North American Championship picture.
