In one of WWE Fastlane‘s earlier bouts, Mandy Rose challenged SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka for the title after beating her on the blue brand to earn the opportunity.
Late in the match, Rose’s tag partner Sonya Deville, who was causing distractions to help her friend here and there, pulled out big ken (a kendo stick to explain the joke – thanks Charlotte Flair) from under the ring.
Before she could use it, however, Rose tripped on the ring apron that Deville had accidentally left up, giving Asuka the chance to kick Mandy’s head off and pick up the victory.
Following the match, it seems like Fire and Desire are heading into a break-up angle with Rose too frustrated to even talk to her partner.

It’s all sunshine for Asuka, however, who delivered an incredibly awesome and passionate promo, celebrating her win in Japanese.
Now, admittedly I do not speak Japanese so I have no idea what she said but, luckily, a fan in the comments section had a go at translating it and no one has disputed it so here goes:
In Japanese:
“I told you, there was no way for me to lose to Mandy. I’ve said it. This [title] is mine, do you understand that? Then who is next, I’m sure whoever she is, she’ll regret it ’cause there is no way for me to lose”
Then in English
“No one is ready for Asuka.”
Although you probably got that part.
It is baffling that WWE doesn’t let the ‘Empress of Tomorrow’ just cut these fierce promo’s in Japanese and simply have whoever she is feuding against respond however they like. End every segment with Asuka kicking their head off and you’re golden.
More of this, please.
