Former NXT star Tyler Breeze ventured back down to the black and gold brand towards the end of 2018 for a surprise North American Championship match with then champion Ricochet. The match reminded fans of the reason why Breeze was dubbed a future star when in the developmental brand.
However, in a recent Twitter post, Breeze has teased that his trip down to NXT five months ago might not have been just a one-off. “Prince Pretty” has said he wants “the North American title”

This would be followed by a poll where Breeze asked fans who they would want to see him face most. On the list was Velveteen Dream, the current North American Champion, fellow WWE main roster stars Finn Balor and Rey Mysterio, and interestingly AEW’s Cody Rhodes.

Breeze is not the only former NXT star to come back to Full Sail for a championship match. It was announced that next week, former Cruiserweight Champion and former NXT Tag Team Champion, Buddy Murphy, will go one-on-one with Velveteen Dream for his title.
