This past week’s Superstar Shakeup saw many of the unassigned free agents floating around between Raw and SmackDown following call-ups from NXT given new permanent homes.
Ricochet, Aleister Black, EC3 and Lacey Evans ended up on Raw along with new NXT call ups The Viking Experience, while Heavy Machinery and Lars Sullivan went to SmackDown alongside newcomer Kairi Sane.
Notable by her absence was Nikki Cross, who was called up to the main roster in January but has barely featured on television since. For whatever reason Cross was not given a home in the Superstar Shakeup but a new report from PWInsider claims that she will become a permanent fixture on Monday Night Raw, as per WWE officials.

If this turns out to be the case it would mark a rare example of WWE not keeping married couples together on the same brand, as Cross is wed to rarely-seen SmackDown live star Killian Dain. In the shakeup most other couples within WWE were kept together, including Zelina Vega and Aleister Black, Naomi and Jimmy Uso, Erik (Rowe) and Sarah Logan and Rusev and Lana.
Although, it should be noted that not all couples were kept together, with Charlotte Flair remaining on SmackDown while her boyfriend Andrade went to Raw and Alexa Bliss staying on the red brand while fiance Buddy Murphy made the jump to SmackDown from 205 Live.
Dave Meltzer noted the following regarding this in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter: “The splitting of a couple by the office is usually the sign of wanting to break them up.”
Well, that’s just lovely, isn’t it?
