WWE has announced another new match for Super Showdown. It has been announced that Roman Reigns will take on the ‘Best in the World’ Shane McMahon at the event.
Challenge (sort of) accepted.@shanemcmahon and @WWERomanReigns won't battle tonight, but they WILL go one-on-one on June 7 at #WWESSD! #RAW pic.twitter.com/Djt3E9I9oz

Roman Reigns appeared on Raw following his defeat of Elias at Money in the Bank. He declared he was done with Elias while Shane McMahon emerged to claim he was done with The Miz. After a brief back-and-forth, McMahon challenged Reigns to a match in Saudi Arabia. McMahon also insinuated that Drew McIntyre would be there to back him up.
Reigns and McMahon have been feuding since Reigns moved to SmackDown Live in the Superstar Shakeup. This will be the first time that the two have ever competed in a one on one match. They have competed against one another in tag team matches on last week’s episode of SmackDown as well as at Survivor Series 2016.
The updated card for WWE Super Showdown is as follows:
- Triple H vs. Randy Orton
- Intercontinental Championship Match – Finn Balor (c) vs. Andrade
- Bobby Lashley vs. Braun Strowman
- Shane McMahon vs. Roman Reigns
- 50-Man Battle Royal
