WWE is reportedly interested in signing Ring of Honor and CMLL superstar Rush. Rush is currently under contract with ROH until the end of the year, however he remains under contract with CMLL until 2021.
WWE has had interest in Rush for a long time but now interest has peaked due to Andrade’s situation. Dave Meltzer wrote in the Wrestling Observer,
” There’s been a lot of talk regarding Rush when his contract expires here at the end of the year. The two key points are that Andrade, who was not happy in NXT and WWE for a long time when not being used, is happy now, has a good relationship with Charlotte Flair, is getting a push and making money. So the attitude of being negative to his good friend about coming has changed. WWE has obviously wanted Rush for some time, but the second issue is he’s still under contract to CMLL until early 2021″
Andrade and Rush were founding members of the Mexican stable Los Ingobernables. While Rush has stayed on as the leader of the group, Andrade signed with WWE in 2016.
Rush recently defeated Dalton Castle in 15 seconds at the G1 Supercard in Madison Square Garden.
