Following on from the pair nearly killing each other via stage explosion last week on Raw, Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley will go one-on-one in a Last Man Standing match at Extreme Rules this Sunday.
The rivalry has been ongoing for quite some time now, and the pair did have a regular singles match at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia just over a month ago, in which Braun came out on top.
As mentioned, they were set for a Falls Count Anywhere match on last week’s Raw, which ended prematurely when Braun sent them both flying through the stage to a “HOLY S***!” from Corey Graves in what seemed like the first big moment of Paul Heyman’s regime.
Speaking of Heyman, he is reportedly high on Strowman and wants to push him as the monster he once was, so it will be interesting to see how that develops going forward.
Braun wasn’t on Raw tonight to sell the injuries, but Lashley answered a returning Rey Mysterio’s open challenge and beat him in quick fashion.
The confirmed card for Extreme Rules is now as follows:
- Seth Rollins (Universal Champion) & Becky Lynch (Raw Women’s Champion) vs. Baron Corbin & Lacey Evans – “Winners Take All” Extreme Rules match
- Undertaker & Roman Reigns vs. Shane McMahon & Drew McIntyre – No Holds Barred
- Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Samoa Joe – WWE Championship
- Bayley (c) vs. Alexa Bliss – WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship
- Drew Gulak (c) vs. Tony Nese – WWE Cruiserweight Championship
- Daniel Bryan & Rowan (c) vs. Big E & Xavier Woods vs. Heavy Machinery – WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships
- Ricochet (c) vs. AJ Styles – WWE United States Championship
- Braun Strowman vs. Bobby Lashley – Last Man Standing
