Earlier on this week, it was reported by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer that Seth Rollins’ next challenger for the Universal Championship would be Braun Strowman.
This comes after Strowman made the save for Rollins during a three-on-one beatdown on Raw at the hands of The OC.
It is believed that the pair will do battle on September, 15 at WWE Clash of Champions, the company’s next pay-per-view event.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer has reported some of the other matches that will likely be taking place at next month’s pay-per-view.
After making her highly-anticipated WWE return last week on Raw, it is believed that Sasha Banks will challenge Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship at the show.
Meltzer also notes that SummerSlam opponents Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton will clash once again at Clash of Champions after their match last week ended in a double count-out.
Smackdown writers reportedly pitched the idea of Kofi Kingston’s New Day teammates Big E and Xavier Woods defending their Smackdown Tag Team Championships against The Revival at the show.
However, reports suggest that the match has not yet been approved by Vince McMahon.
Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan are also expected to go one-on-one at the show, as are Shinsuke Nakamura and Ali, with the former’s Intercontinental Championship on the line.
