Yesterday, Jon Moxley took to Twitter to reveal that an elbow injury he suffered requires surgery. Moxley stated that this would keep him out of his scheduled match with Kenny Omega at AEW All Out.
AEW wasted very little time finding a replacement, and last night revealed that instead of Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega will be going one-on-one with PAC.
PAC actually quit AEW in May, and pulled out his scheduled match with Hangman Adam Page at AEW’s first official show, Double or Nothing.
It was believed that PAC and AEW had ‘creative differences’, and the two parties were unable to come to some sort of agreement.
However, PWInsider is reporting that PAC and AEW sorted out their differences several weeks back. Mike Johnson even claimed that PAC was always supposed to appear on the show, but in a non-wrestling capacity:
“We are told that PAC’s issues were resolved several weeks back and he was always slated to appear (but not wrestle) next weekend to unveil he was finally coming to AEW. With Moxley out due to a MRSA staph infection, PAC will now make his AEW in-ring debut as the promotion tries to make the best out of an extremely unfortunate situation.”
There is currently no word on what PAC was supposed to be doing at AEW All Out. However, his match with Kenny Omega will likely go down as one of the best wrestling bouts of the year.
