Travel issues continue for WWE as a number of staff and superstars remain stranded in Saudi Arabia, and face missing tonight’s SmackDown.
PWInsider reports that many had been waiting for the plane to take off for up to 7 hours, and this report cam 5 hours ago, so it could now be as much as 12.
Because of this, there is now no chance that a number of talent will be able to get back to America in time for tonight’s episode of SmackDown.
PWInsider did note that some talent was rushed onto another flight and will likely make it on time, but was unable to say exactly who.
Thankfully for WWE, not everyone actually went to Saudi Arabia, which means Daniel Bryan, Sami Zayn, Drew Gulak, Elias, Matt Hardy, The Miz and others are still around if they need to scrape a show together.
The majority of the women’s division will also be there for obvious reasons.
This is what has been announced for SmackDown, but it isn’t known whether this will now happen:
- Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin.
- MizTV with Bray Wyatt.
- WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Revival vs. The New Day.
- WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley & Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville vs. Nikki Cross & Carmella & Dana Brooke.
