The last time we saw the Velveteen Dream, he was being laid out by the Undisputed Era backstage in mid-October.
He hasn’t wrestled since September 18, and was listed on NXT’s sometimes kayfabe, sometimes genuine injury report shortly after.
It seems that this injury is however relatively serious, and we may well have to wait until the new year to see him wrestle again.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dream is genuinely hurt and will at the very least be missing Survivor Series on November 24, where his fellow NXT stars will be competing for the first time ever.
NXT General Manager William Regal has commented that it will be some time before we see the charismatic and purple personality back in the ring.
Meltzer reports that he will likely be back right at the end of 2019, or at the start of 2020, which is a huge blow to NXT, which will be desperate to have as many of its top stars fit while TV ratings continue to fall week to week.
We will keep you updated with any further news regarding Dream’s fitness.
