The viewership numbers for the premiere of WWE Backstage are in, and they don’t make for pretty reading for WWE and FS1.
The show drew only 49,000 viewers on average according to Jed I. Goodman. According to ShowBuzzDaily, it didn’t even make the top 150 highest-rated cable shows in the 18-49 demo.
WWE Backstage has actually had two special “preview” episodes prior to the official premiere yesterday.
The first of those – on October 15 – drew 597,000 viewers, and the second – which aired on October 25 – drew 426,000.
Last night’s premiere was sold on appearances from new Universal Champion Bray Wyatt, and Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels.
