It is one of the most iconic images of modern wrestling, and it all came from a botched Nia Jax punch on November 12, 2018.
Becky Lynch and her SmackDown Live cronies invaded Raw to set up the Survivor Series match, and following a misplaced punch from Jax, Lynch was left with blood all over her face.
Becky managed to escape from the arena with her head held high and covered in blood, and created what was arguably the image of 2018.
If it hadn’t been for Nia’s punch and the fact Becky Lynch was pulled from her match with Ronda Rousey due to having a “broken face”, who knows what might have happened to Lynch.
She may never have main-evented WrestleMania 36, or defeated Ronda Rousey to become double champion.
So all in all, we need to say a huge thank you to Nia Jax for accidentally breaking Becky’s nose and creating one of the biggest stars in modern WWE history.
