Report: Oney Lorcan Requests WWE Release

Report: Oney Lorcan Requests WWE Release

NXT and 205 Live star Oney Lorcan has requested his release from WWE according to PWInsider.

According to the report, Lorcan asked for his release from the company at the end of last month but his request has not been granted as of yet.

Those who keep an eye on Lorcan’s Twitter account will have noticed some interesting activity prior to the report coming to light.

Lorcan deleted all his tweets and changed his Twitter name to Biff Busick, the name he used on the indies prior to joining WWE.

His bio is also now just a link to his ProWrestlingTees store.

He has been signed with WWE since 2015 but hasn’t won any championships in that time, although he has challenged for the NXT Tag Team Championships and the WWE (now NXT) Cruiserweight Championship a couple of times each.

He most recently was beaten on NXT TV on September 18 by a returning Lio Rush the week before Rush beat Drew Gulak to himself win the Cruiserweight Title.

Oney Lorcan becomes the latest WWE star to come to light on an increasing list of those wanting out of the company. The most recent to go public with a release request was Sin Cara.
