Last night at Money in the Bank, Otis won the men’s ladder match, earning a guaranteed Universal or WWE Championship match in the process.
Otis is incredibly over, there is no denying that, but it is certainly far too soon to be giving him a World Championship. However, perhaps that isn’t the plan.
Speaking to Digital Spy prior to the pay-per-view, Otis revealed that if he won Money in the Bank, he will be challenging for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships with his best friend Tucker.
I hope this is not the case. While it would elevate the SmackDown Tag Team Championships, it would make Otis appear incredibly stupid for not cashing-in on one of the main championships.
A far more compelling idea could see Otis manipulated by Bray Wyatt into putting his briefcase on the line in a match with The Fiend in the coming months.
