A report emerged last week suggesting that the USA Network, the home of Monday Night Raw and NXT was unhappy with WWE right now. You can find out more about that story by clicking here.
Well it seems like the USA Network isn’t the only television station unhappy with Vince McMahon’s company right now, as FOX is said to have been angered by a segment on last week’s SmackDown.
The opening segment on last week’s SmackDown saw Jeff Hardy throw urine on his bitter rival Sheamus. Fans watching on a delay on the west coast didn’t actually get to see the spot, as it was cut from their feeds.
We have a reason for this, as Dave Meltzer is reporting that FOX was unhappy with the segment and decided to have it removed from the show:
“It aired on the east coast but not on the west coast. Fox decreed that it violated their standards and practices so they threw a commercial in so we didn’t get to see it on the west coast. That’s what that was all about.”
The clip was uploaded to YouTube, and is the most-watched clip from last week’s episode of SmackDown by a considerable margin.
Two days after SmackDown, Hardy and Sheamus went one-on-one in what was actually a pretty good PPV match at Backlash, which Sheamus won.
