Former Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann returned to Impact Wrestling for his first match in since January 2020 at Slammiversary last month. However, his return didn’t go exactly as planned.
Swann was brutally attacked by fellow former WWE star Eric Young, and Impact Wrestling has been playing up Swann’s injury on the last few weeks of TV and on social media.
The angle continued on this week’s show as, likely just as part of the ongoing storyline with Eric Young, Rich Swann announced his retirement from wrestling. You can check out his promo by clicking here.

Swann’s retirement is almost certainly part of his ongoing feud with Eric Young, and the former WWE stars will likely have a one-on-one match at some point down the line.
Speaking of former WWE stars in Impact Wrestling, it has emerged that a former NXT star recently signed with Impact. You can find out more about that story by clicking here.
