Triple H took part in an NXT media call this afternoon. Mortal enemy of WrestleTalk’s YouTube channel, Sean Ross Sapp asked Triple H if there would be a WWE draft in 2020.
Triple H confirmed there would be a draft in 2020 and also confirmed NXT would take part in the event. We don’t know exactly when the draft will be, but it is anticipated to be in the fall.
However, there may be an even more interesting comment from the head of NXT. Triple H was asked how going live and being considered a third brand would impact the draft.
.@SeanRossSapp asks if the call-up system has changed now that NXT is on USA in prime-time.
HHH: It definitely has changed, and that will be evident during the #WWEDraft later this year.

Hmm. A change to the call-up system based on NXT going live. Given NXT has been losing to AEW most Wednesdays, it would seem Trips is setting us up for the potential for some main roster talent to make their way to NXT.
This will certainly make for an interesting draft if this is the case. Which main roster talent do you think would be a good fit for the black and gold brand?
