The NWA has made it official that a former WWE star will be challenging NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis for the title.
Mike Bennett, known as Mike Kanellis in WWE, made the challenge several days ago, and Aldis has now accepted and the bout is official.
The National Wrestling Alliance has announced the match will take place on the Prime Time Live show on September 15, which is two weeks from today. Check out the announcement here:

Aldis has reigned as the NWA Worlds Champion since October 21, 2018 when he beat Cody for the title in a 2/3 falls match at the NWA 70th Anniversary show.
That means his reign has lasted 679 days and counting, which is the longest since Dan Severn’s reign that lasted from February 1995 until March 1999.
