Yesterday The Rock announced that he, his wife and his two daughters had tested positive for COVID. However, The Rock unfortunately wasn’t the only former WWE Champion to announce that he had tested positive for COVID yesterday.
On his Twitch stream, SmackDown star AJ Styles revealed that he received a positive Coronavirus test around one month ago. Thankfully, Styles said he didn’t have too many symptoms:
“I tested positive a couple of weeks ago, almost a month, I think, ago. I feel for people who have to deal with this. I gotta say, I didn’t have many problems with it. Hopefully The Rock and his family are safe and nobody has too bad of symptoms. It’s not good for anybody. I went through it, I was one of the lucky ones. I had a headache, but never had a fever. Maybe a couple of boogers, that’s about it.”
Thankfully, Styles has appeared on the last three episodes of SmackDown, so he is certainly past the contagious stage of the Coronavirus.
After wrestling Gran Metalik on the July 31 episode of SmackDown (taped ten days earlier), Styles didn’t appear on WWE TV until the August 14 episode of SmackDown. He then lost the Intercontinental Championship the following week to Jeff Hardy.
