It was recently reported that WWE Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy had signed a new contract. At the time we did not know what the length of deal is. However, now we have a better idea of how long you’ll be able to see the Charismatic Enigma in WWE.
PWInsider is currently reporting that Hardy’s new deal is set to be approximately 2-3 years in length. That is being added on to the time tacked on to his last contract due to injuries.
Hardy signed his last contract when he was returning to WWE in 2017. He and his brother Matt returned after long absences to win the Raw Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 33. Matt has since left the company, joining AEW earlier this year.
Jeff Hardy also recently stated that one of the things involved in the negotiations in his re-signing was using his old theme song. ‘No More Words’ was Hardy’s song from February 2008 until he left WWE in 2009. Now, it seems like we will hear the tune again as soon as fans are allowed to return.
As previously stated, Hardy is the current Intercontinental Champion on SmackDown. Having won the title from AJ Styles back in August, he is set to defend it against Styles and Sami Zayn at Clash of Champions: Gold Rush. Their Triple Threat match will also be a Ladder match.
