The Butcher and The Blade made an interesting debut in AEW coming out from under the ring to attack Cody. One of the things people always wonder about is how long wrestlers have to stay under the ring before they come out during shows.
Well, in an interview on the AEW Restricted Podcast, Blade has revealed how long they were under the ring.
“We were under for not even five minutes. They blacked out the arena (during Cody’s entrance) and that’s when we snuck in.”
Blade has recently been a part of the Eddie Kingston faction with Butcher, Penta El Cero M, and Rey Fenix. The Butcher and The Blade were noticeably absent from AEW: Dynamite last night.
Some have speculated this could be related to some positive Coronavirus testing. However, it could also just be storyline. The last we saw of Blade prior to this Kingston told him to get his own house in order.
This was referring to his real-life wife Allie who has been managing QT Marshall of late. We may never know, although AEW has been good at turning real-life miscues into kayfabe stories. They most recently did this with Matt Sydal’s botch at All Out.
As for hiding under the ring goes, no one can top Hornswoggle who apparently just lived under the ring while under contract to WWE.
