A major mystery regarding an ongoing storyline on WWE NXT has now been solved ahead of tomorrow’s Halloween Havoc special episode.
At NXT TakeOver 31 on October 4 following the conclusion of Finn Balor vs Kyle O’Reilly in the main event, Ridge Holland dumped the body of Adam Cole at ringside after attacking him.
Holland would then reveal he was paid for the attack, which led to the mystery of who paid him.
We now have the answer to that, because Pat McAfee has revealed it was him. This comes after McAfee returned to NXT last week to help Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan attack Undisputed ERA and cheat to win the Tag Team Championship from Breezango.
Unfortunately Holland suffered a legitimate leg injury a couple of weeks ago when he was trying to catch an Oney Lorcan dive to the outside which means he’ll be out of action for a while.
Due to this, the storyline is not going to play out as it was planned. McAfee will be back on NXT tomorrow night for Halloween Havoc, and we will of course have live coverage of the show as always.
Check out McAfee’s reveal here:
Who do you think bought that Mercedes?
Whatever’s left of the Undisputed Era and whoever else from #WWENXT that wants some can come get some at #HalloweenHavoc on Wednesday if they got a problem with it.
Remember.. We’re the greatest. You suck. Cheers. https://t.co/eFfDy6WTLR pic.twitter.com/6zYkaW6oMZ
