AEW World Champion Kenny Omega could well win the IMPACT World Championship to add to his collection as part of the ongoing AEW/IMPACT angle.
In recent promos, Omega and Don Callis have kind of been hinting that we could be getting a “belt collector” version of Omega, which basically means he’s going to win a whole bunch of championships.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer theorised that his collection could include the IMPACT title. He said:
“I think that we’re getting a title vs title. They kind of gave that idea that Omega is going to be a belt collector, I don’t know how many he can get, but it’s going to be AAA and AEW and I wouldn’t be surprised to see IMPACT as well and certain programs happening and things like that.”
Omega appeared on this past Tuesday’s episode of IMPACT in what was rumoured to be a “one-off”, but of course, things in wrestling can move and change very quickly, so perhaps there’ll be more to the whole deal.
