The final pay per view event of 2020 is officially in the books as WWE TLC is now behind us. While the biggest matches saw the WWE and Universal Champions retain their titles, we did get a few title changes.
First was the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship. The Hurt Business sent Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander to challenge the New Day for the titles. This was a very enjoyable match and it resulted in the Hurt Business capturing the belts.
This marks the first tag team title win for Shelton Benjamin in 17 years and the first for Cedric Alexander. The match did end with Alexander tagging in and hitting the Lumbar Check, taking the pin from his partner. It was subtle and will likely lead to something down the line.
The other was the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. As Asuka’s mystery partner was revealed to be the returning Charlotte Flair, the duo overcame the champions to win the titles. Flair pinned Shayna Baszler with the Natural Selection.
This win means Flair has now captured every championship available for her to win in WWE. The only possible accolade for her left is Money in the Bank.
