Much of WWE’s schedule remains up in the air due to the pandemic. However, their Elimination Chamber pay per view appears to be going ahead as it normally does.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting that the event will be taking place on February 21, 2021. This would make it the next pay per view after the Royal Rumble. The scheduled date is also a week earlier than it was originally scheduled for.
Much of what happens at the Royal Rumble will dictate the storylines and matches planned for Elimination Chamber. Until the Rumble happens few details will be available regarding the plans for the event. However, the fact that WWE moved the date for the show would lead one to believe that there would be a significant reason behind the change.
Last year’s Elimination Chamber event was the final pay per view before the pandemic took hold. The event took place just five days before the first no-fans SmackDown, WWE’s first show of the pandemic era.
We will provide an update on the situation as soon as new details are available.
