Top WWE Star Says They Felt Like They Had Been In A Tornado After The Royal Rumble

Wrestling for 80 minutes over the span of two days does not sound easy. Especially if you are returning from injury at 47 years old like Edge is. Needless to say, he had a busy Royal Rumble weekend.

Appearing on The Steve Dangle Podcast, Edge was asked how he is spending his time off after winning the Rumble. His answer was licking his wounds before adding that after wrestling Randy Orton the night after the Rumble he felt like he had been in a tornado. Here is the quote:

“He licks his wounds. He relaxes because he’s 47 and woke up and felt like- so this is what I said, I did the Royal Rumble and I was in there for 60 minutes. My first time in the ring in seven months coming off of a torn tricep and the next night they said ‘can you do like a 20 minute match with Randy Orton?’ so I did 80 minutes over the span of two nights and I woke up the next day and I felt like I had been in a tornado. Like unprotected. Like It was just instead of a cow in Twister it was me flying around like wooooah.

That’s how I felt but… I should have felt worse. I’m not gonna lie. So I’ll take it. I’ll take it. At this stage in the game, if I can actually get up and move and by the tenth step- It’s kinda like the Evolution of Man right? So by the tenth step, I’m upright.”

Edge managed to win the Royal Rumble from the number one spot, becoming just the third man to accomplish the feat.
