Along with Christian Cage, former IMPACT Tag Team Champion “All Ego” Ethan Page made his long-awaited debut for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) at last night’s Revolution pay-per-view event.
Ethan Page’s contract with IMPACT Wrestling expired at the end of 2020, and it had been reported that the Canadian was fielding offers from both WWE and AEW, but has obviously opted to sign with Tony Khan’s company.
Speaking to the media after the show, Tony Khan revealed that Ethan Page joining AEW has been in the works for a while. Khan said he is happy that the paperwork to get Page into the US has been finalised, courtesy of Fightful:
“Ethan Page will be here a very long time. He’s something we’ve had up our sleeves for a very long time.” – Tony Khan says he was glad they finally got the paper work done to get him to work in the U.S. Indicates that Page will be a “big help” to the heel side.
Tony Khan also seemed to suggest that AEW is going to be bringing in even more signings over the next year, which will certainly be music to the ears of fans of the promotion.
