When Brock Lesnar departed WWE at WrestleMania 36, it was unclear what would happen with Paul Heyman. He was working backstage at Raw at the time but he disappeared as an on-screen character.
He would ultimately return as the advocate to Roman Reigns on SmackDown where he has been ever since. Now, there is an update on what Heyman’s contract status is with the company.
Dave Meltzer spoke about Heyman on Wrestling Observer Radio where he said that he doesn’t know if Heyman has re-signed. However, the deal Heyman had been on would be expiring soon. Here is the quote:
“I don’t know if he’s re-signed or anything, but it was gonna be up right around now. Maybe not right now but in a month or two I think. I think I remember May, but that could be wrong. But I can’t even imagine him not being signed, he’s with Roman Reigns in the top act, so I just would presume that’s a formality.”
