A new report has discussed YouTube star Logan Paul ahead of his SmackDown appearance, and whether we’ll see him at WrestleMania 37.
This week, Sami Zayn announced that Logan Paul will appear on WWE programming next week. After their recent interactions over social media, Zayn revealed that Paul will join him during a segment on next week’s SmackDown.
According to recent reports, WWE have booked Paul for WrestleMania 37 in April. Ringside News, which often have their reports confirmed by the likes of Dave Meltzer and Fightful, were first to report that the online star is set to appear at The Show of Shows.
While the report didn’t specify a chosen role for Paul, it was noted that with almost 23 million YouTube subscribers, Paul could expose WWE to a large audience.
For The Wrestling Observer, Dave Meltzer claimed that WWE are planning to feature a celebrity on each of the two nights of WrestleMania. With Bad Bunny wrestling on April 10, Meltzer explained that Paul is expected to be involved with Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn on April 11.
Here is the full quote:
“Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn on Sunday. In that one, Logan Paul is gonna be involved in the match. I don’t know if he’s a referee or what but he’s definitely involved. The idea is Bad Bunny on Saturday and Logan Paul on Sunday as your big celebrities.”
Logan Paul’s SmackDown appearance next week is expected to give the show a bump in ratings. The viewership of this week’s episode was up from last week, which you can read about here.
Bad Bunny is scheduled to face The Miz in a singles match on night 1 of WrestleMania 37. Stephanie McMahon has recently commented on why WWE have been using more celebrities in recent months.
