Tonight at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, Karrion Kross defeated Finn Balor to reclaim the NXT Championship in the penultimate match on the show.
The finish came after a rather back-and-forth match, probably Kross’ most competitive in WWE thus far, with Karrion Kross hitting Balor with an elbow to the back of the head.
Karrion Kross was forced to relinquish the title immediately after he won it first in August 2020. This is now his second right as the top champion of the black and gold brand.
This ends Finn Balor’s 213-day reign as champion. Just like Karrion Kross, Balor is also a two-time NXT Champion, having first held the belt in 2015-16.
