After recent speculation on social media, a title match has just been confirmed for the next episode of AEW Dynamite.
This week, TNT Champion Darby Allin called for any of the AEW Rankings top 5 to challenge him on next week’s Dynamite. It has now been confirmed that Allin will defend his title against Jungle Boy on Wednesday.
AEW announced the match on Twitter. Noting that AEW President Tony Khan had booked Jungle Boy, the account confirmed that Sting will be in Allin’s corner, and Luchasaurus in Jungle Boy’s.
Here is the tweet:

Jungle Boy hasn’t lost a singles match since Wardlow defeated him in October last year. Allin hasn’t been defeated one-on-one since unsuccessfully challenging for the AEW Championship in July 2020.
A dominant TNT Champion, Allin has defended his title against the likes of The Butcher, Brian Cage and Scorpio Sky this year alone. His latest title bout was against Matt Hardy on this week’s Dynamite.
Another championship match is already set for next week’s AEW Dynamite. Hikaru Shida will defend the Women’s World Title against Tay Conti.
