Mia Yim (RECKONING) and Shane Thorne (SLAPJACK) haven’t been used on WWE TV since RETRIBUTION split up, but here’s an update on their status.
Ringside News, which has had many of its reports confirmed by the likes of Fightful and Dave Meltzer in recent times, is reporting that they’re both being brought up in creative meetings after being moved to the SmackDown brand.
The whole RETRIBUTION deal is completely over and done with now, but it’s unclear whether they’ll keep the silly names, revert back to being Mia Yim and Shane Thorne, or even something completely different.
Yim did appear without her RETRIBUTION mask on the stage at WrestleMania 37, and the RECKONING Twitter account has been dormant since the end of March, while her more personal one she used before RETRIBUTION’s debut has been consistently active.
Thorne on the other hand appears to be doing a gimmick on Twitter where he’s unsure whether or not he’ll be SLAPJACK going forward, which is seemingly accurate to the real-life scenario.
It’s at least a good sign that they’re being brought up and WWE is trying to figure out what to do with them instead of completely forgetting about them.
