It looks like Salina de la Renta, who left MLW earlier on this year, could be heading to WWE. This comes years after the company first expressed an interest in signing her.
Writing in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer notes that Salina de la Renta has closed her own merchandise store, which is usually a good indication that talent have signed with WWE:
Natalie Class, the former Salina de la Renta in MLW, has said she’s closing her merchandise store at the end of the summer. Often that would mean someone has struck a deal with a promotion that won’t allow them to merchandise independently, but we’ve had no verification of her going to WWE. But there was WWE interest in her a few years back that we know of
It’s important to note that Dave Meltzer IS NOT reporting that Salina de la Renta is heading to WWE, but the fact that she has closed her merchandise store could be an indication that she is signing with Vince McMahon’s company.
For what it’s worth, Ethan Page shut down his merchandise store earlier on this year, leading many to speculate that he was WWE-bound. However, as we know, Page would later go on to sign for All Elite Wrestling.
