Number One Contender Match Set For Next Week’s NXT

Next week’s episode of NXT will feature a big number one contender match.

Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart will take on Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez as well as Io Shirai and Zoey Stark in a Triple Threat match. The winner will go on to face The Way for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship at the Great American Bash.

This announcement comes after these three teams had a brawl earlier in the show. Io Shirai and Zoey Stark defeated The Robert Stone Brand before Kai and Gonzalez made their case for receiving a title shot.

This was immediately followed by Moon and Blackheart reminding them that they beat them last month.

This is also the first match announced for next week’s episode of NXT.

Two matches have already been announced for the Great American Bash. They are Kyle O’Reilly vs. Adam Cole and MSK vs. Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa for the NXT Tag Team Championship.
