Aleister Black (now Malakai Black) has explained the reason why he chose to sign with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) following his WWE release.
Following his shocking appearance during Wednesday’s Road Rager special, it was confirmed that Black had officially signed with AEW. The former NXT Champion has pointed out that the promotion has a bright future.
Speaking on Twitch, Black stated that there are a lot of passionate individuals working for AEW. Arguing that signing with AEW was the right move for him right now, Black said:
“it was the right move for me to make for me, my family, my career, the state of mind I’m in. It’s just a really good company. I can’t say enough good things about it. They have a bright future. There are a lot of dedicated people and I’m really glad to be part of it.”
Konnan has also recently praised AEW for their fun backstage atmosphere. He recently appeared on the June 26 episode of Saturday Night Dynamite.
Black went on to discuss the backstage origins of his surprise Road Rager appearance. The former WWE star concluded that his AEW debut is one of his favorite moments of his career.
