Congratulations go out to WWE star Titus O’Neil, who received quite an honour today. It was announced this morning that the Hillsborough County School Board had unanimously voted to add Titus’ ‘Thaddeus M. Bullard Academy’ to Sligh Middle Magnet School in honour of the contributions Titus has made to the school system.
WWE announced that Titus would be receiving the honour on today’s episode of WWE The Bump, and O’Neil himself took to Twitter to respond to the announcement, writing:
HUGE HONOR!! Thank you @HillsboroughSch School Board and to my family and supporters of my @BFFTampa foundation work not only at @SlighMiddle but in all my endeavors to Positively change lives
Titus commented on the honour in WWE’s official statement, saying:
“I was once labeled a ‘bad’ kid and told I would be dead or in jail by the time I was 16, this is the highest and most respected honor that I could ever receive considering there was never any expectation of me ever finding much success in my life. Hopefully this will prove to any student who comes from an underserved community that anything is possible when you believe.”
Titus O’Neil received the Warrior Award at the 2021 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, adding yet another achievement to recognise the amount of humanitarian work O’Neil has done for Tampa, Florida.
