The result of the five on five Tag Team Elimination match on this week’s (July 28) AEW Fight For The Fallen show came as a shock to many people, as The Elite defeated Adam Page and the Dark Order, denying Page a shot at the AEW World Championship.
This was by design, as according to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer, Adam Page will not feature in the main event of AEW’s upcoming All Out show. Dave says that it was the plan, but plans have since changed.
AEW has been pushing Christian Cage for a title shot on TV, with him now becoming the de facto number one contender following Page’s loss, but it is still unknown if that match will be for AEW TV or for All Out.
Of course, the guy to main event the show could be one of the rumoured new additions to the company. Maybe someone who emanates from Chicago, who may or may not debut in AEW on August 20.
