On the July 30 episode of NJPW Strong, The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows) won the Tag Team Turbulence Tournament.
Anderson & Gallows faced Violence Unlimited (Brody King & Chris Dickinson) in the tournament finals on last night’s show. The Good Brothers would ultimately hit Dickinson with the Magic Killer to secure victory.
Following the win, Anderson stated that he and Gallows are coming for the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship. The Good Brothers currently hold IMPACT Tag Team gold.
Zack Sabre Jr & Taichi are the current NJPW Heavyweight Tag Team titleholders, winning the gold from Los Ingobernables de Japon at Wrestle Grand Slam on July 25.
“Dangerous Tekkers” are set to defend the gold in a three-way bout against Tetsuya Naito & SANADA, and YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto, at the next Wrestle Grand Slam show in September.
Jon Moxley recently challenged The Good Brothers to a match at NJPW Resurgence in August, stating that he’ll be “bringing a surprise” to the LA Coliseum.
