Sheamus has reacted to Drew McIntyre firing shots at him on Raw, teasing his entry into the upcoming King of the Ring tournament.
The Celtic Warrior returned to the ring on the April 15 edition of Raw, defeating Ivar in singles action.
Following a confrontation with Drew McIntyre, Sheamus faced off against Shinsuke Nakamura on this week’s (April 22) Raw episode.
Sheamus has now teased that he will also enter the King of the Ring tournament. Sharing a GIF of the Burger King, Sheamus tweeted:
When i win KOTR for a 2nd time, i want to be called…
This is a reference to when Drew McIntyre said that it looked like Sheamus had been having “burger after burger after burger” recently, rather than banger after banger during their recent segment.
Sheamus recently addressed body shaming comments following his WWE return, which you can read more about right here.
The Irish star’s King of the Ring tease comes after Drew McIntyre stating on Raw that his next focus is the upcoming tournament. He aims to become the second ever two-time King of the Ring tournament winner, following Bret Hart’s 1991 and 1993 victories.
Sheamus previously won the King of the Ring tournament in 2010.
The King of the Ring WWE premium live event will take place on May 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
