WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently took to social media to troll fans, teasing a potential debut for All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
Last month, it was reported that Kurt Angle had received offers from AEW and IMPACT to return to the ring. Angle took to Facebook, seemingly to tease his signing with AEW, posting:
Angle later revealed that he was joking, posting:
Thanking his fans for being good sports, Angle took to Facebook once more to say:
“LOL You guys always keep it fun. Thanks for the laugh. I will always have love for you all. I will see you guys at the Steel City Con Saturday. “
This is not the first time that Angle has hinted that he’d be joining the promotion. Following the announcement that a “hall of fame worthy” talent would officially become All Elite at Revolution earlier this year, Angle posted a teaser video, suggesting he was planning to return to action.
At the pay-per-view, Christian Cage was revealed to be the new recruit, and the Olympic gold medallist was nowhere to be seen. Cage is currently set to challenge Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship at All Out on September 5.
Before then, Cage will challenge Omega for the IMPACT World Championship on this week’s premiere episode of AEW Rampage.
