IMPACT Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo defeated Faby Apache to win the Reina De Reinas Championship at TripleMania XXIX.
During the Title-Vs-Title bout, the referee seemed to side with Purrazzo, fast counting and turning a blind eye to the action when it suited the Knockouts titleholder.
In the end, Purrazzo forced Apache to submit to claim both the IMPACT Knockouts, and AAA Reina De Reinas Championships.
AAA celebrated Purrazzo’s victory on Twitter:
👑 ¡Tenemos nueva Reina! 👑@DeonnaPurrazzo de @IMPACTWRESTLING conquista el campeonato Reina de Reinas AAA

Translation: “We have a new Queen!@DeonnaPurrazzo of @IMPACTWRESTLING conquers the AAA Reina de Reinas championship.”
IMPACT retweeted the post, noting:
“Long may she reign. #TriplemaniaXXIX“
Purrazzo has held the Knockouts Title for over 270 days, defeating Su Yung at Turning Point 2020 for the gold. Before Triplemania, the last defence of her IMPACT title was against AEW’s Thunder Rosa at Slammiversary last month.
Purrazzo has been very vocal about wanting a bout with AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker. IMPACT Executive VP Scott D’Amore has revealed that Baker confronted him to ask about a potential match with the Knockouts Champion.
A recently released NXT star will challenge for the Knockouts Title at an independent event in October.
