Report: WWE Saudi Arabia Return Date Confirmed

The date that WWE will make its return to Saudi Arabia after not travelling there since February 2020 has reportedly been confirmed.

According to PWInsider, WWE has locked in Thursday, October 21 as its Saudi return date for Crown Jewel in Riyadh.

It was reported a few weeks ago by Andrew Zarian that October 21 was the planned date, but PWInsider is now stating that it was locked in this past week.

Zarian has also reported that the Saudi show will play host to both the final of a King of the Ring tournament, and the final of a Queen of the Ring tournament.

There is scheduled to be a live SmackDown in Wichita, Kansas on October 22, which is an 18-hour flight from Riyadh.

WWE signed a deal with the Saudi General Sports Authority to do two shows per year for 10 years in 2018, but that obviously hasn’t been possible due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
