CM Punk’s name has been hot on the lips of wrestling fans recently, as August 20 draws nearer, which is all but confirmed to be the date of Punk’s return to professional wrestling.
Wrestling aside, Punk has also been taking on a few acting roles recently, and recently spoke with Movie Trivia Schmoedown, where he said he hopes to follow in the footsteps of Dave Bautista and transition from wrestling into Hollywood.
Bautista himself heard Punk’s comments, and replied on Twitter, saying:
I already knew this. And the talent is obvious. He’s going to be bigger in films than he was in wrestling. Save this tweet.

Punk recently starred in the new series ‘Heels’ on Starz, where he plays the role of wrestler Ricky Rabies.
CM Punk is allegedly not done with wrestling just yet though, as he has teased that 2021 will become the third ‘Summer of Punk’.
