AEW star Jade Cargill has come to the defence of Red Velvet after Velvet received criticism following a botch on Wednesday’s Dynamite.
Velvet had missed a standing moonsault during her loss to Jamie Hayter, and a lot of people pointed out this was far from the first time Velvet had missed that particular move.
A Twitter user had said that Velvet’s time slot on the show should have been used for Jade Cargill instead, but Cargill replied:
Red was/is fine. She can work. Everybody loved her when she was killing it. S**t happens. But clearly you all don’t know wrestling to not see some s**t in that go round. SMH. I’m done.
Velvet recently unsuccessfully challenged Britt Baker for the AEW Women’s World Championship on the August 13 debut edition of Rampage, while Cargill beat Kiera Hogan a week later.
Despite her 11-0 record this year, Cargill has still never been ranked in AEW’s official top five rankings. The only other women who are unbeaten in 2021 are Anna Jay and Jamie Hayter, who have both only had one match, and Kris Statlander, who is 16-0 and challenges Baker at All Out.
