Tragic news broke today in the world of wrestling, when it was announced that former WCW and TNA star Daffney had passed away aged 46, taking her own life.
Many wrestlers and fans alike have taken to Twitter to share their support for the late star, as well as express the importance of raising awareness of mental health issues.
WWE has also taken steps in this direction. Per PWInsider, following today’s news, WWE is now offering mental counseling to their talent. The company sent the following message out to it’s entire roster today:
“As a reminder to our Talent, if you are dealing with a difficult personal matter and would like to speak with someone to get the support you need, please don’t hesitate to contact (Counseling Company Name Withheld) at (NUMBER DELETED) or WWE Medical.”
This gesture is very considerate given today’s news.
