Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that following production moving in to the Arthur Ashe Stadium, there are more openings for tickets to Dynamite Grand Slam.
Meltzer took to Twitter to note that the stadium has the potential to seat over 20,000 fans for AEW’s debut show:
“With production moved in, they have a lot of new openings for tickets for tomorrow’s Dynamite. The potential is more than 20,000 now.”
In July when tickets for the event first went on sale, it was reported that the Grand Slam event was expected to set the record for the highest attended AEW Dynamite in history.
Following recent high-profile signings, AEW is reportedly confident to run larger venues moving forward. Bryan Danielson will wrestle his first match for the promotion during Dynamite Grand Slam, against AEW World Champion Kenny Omega.
Ruby Soho will challenge Britt Baker for the AEW Women’s Title on the show. Soho earned her title shot after winning the Casino Battle Royale at All Out.
On Rampage Grand Slam, CM Punk will compete in his first TV match since January 2014. He is set to face Team Taz’ Powerhouse Hobbs in singles action.
