WWE Raw star MVP has provided clarification on his injury status, after reports that he’ll be taking time off for surgery.
Following the September 13 edition of Raw, WWE announced that MVP had suffered a broken rib from an RKO, and would be “out indefinitely”.
It has since been reported that the former US Champion underwent knee surgery, and will be on the shelf “for a while” as a result.
MVP has now taken to Twitter to reveal that he hasn’t yet had the medical procedure. Confirming that he will undergo knee surgery soon, MVP tweeted:
“For the OFFICIAL record. I’m going to get surgery on my knee. I have not had any surgery YET!!!!! YOU HEARD THAT FROM ME!”
MVP returned to action from a knee injury in July, after almost 5 months away from the ring. His most recent match saw him team with Bobby Lashley as part of Tag Team Turmoil on the September 6 episode of Raw.
We send MVP our best wishes for his recovery.
