There has been significant frustration from individuals within WWE over booking of the women’s division, according to a new report.
On the most recent (October 8) edition of SmackDown, Zelina Vega defeated Toni Storm, and Carmella bested Liv Morgan. Despite both matches being part of the inaugural Queen’s Crown tournament, both contests were over in just two minutes respectively.
As per Fightful Select (subscription required), at one time, there were plans pencilled in for Liv Morgan to win her match and advance in the tournament.
The report stated there has been ‘significant frustration’ expressed from both in-ring talent and WWE staff about the booking of the women’s division recently.
Fightful pointed out that earlier this year when John Laurinaitis was appointed Head of WWE Talent Relations, it was reported that there was backstage concern within the WWE women’s division.
The first round of the Queen’s Crown tournament is set to continue on Monday’s (October 11) episode of Raw, with Shayna Baszler set to face Dana Brooke, and Doudrop scheduled to do battle with Natalya.
