Along with the 18 wrestlers that were released by WWE yesterday, several office staff members have been let go by the company too.
Fightful reports that Laura Petrucelli, John Stamatis, Laura Todd and Mike Giacco have all departed WWE.
Petrucelli was WWE’s Vice President of Branding, working directly with Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon, and had been with the company since 2009.
Stamatis was WWE’s Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Sales Strategy for more than four years.
Todd had been with WWE since 2007 as its Vice President of Partnership Marketing.
And Giacco worked in the Talent Sales & Global Partnerships department for over eight years, and actually won the 24/7 Championship in 2019.
News of these departures comes after it had already emerged that Senior Vice President of Creative Services Stan Stanski and Chief Financial Officer Kristina Salen were also let go this week.
Fightful notes that this isn’t being done in an effort to reduce the number of staff members, as WWE will be hiring and promoting people to fill the same roles that were occupied by those who were let go.
